Anna Costa e Silva é diretora, roteirista e artista visual. Trabalha nas interseções entre cinema, performance, artes visuais e literatura no campo expandido. Graduada em Cinema pela UGF-RJ e Mestra em Artes Visuais pela School of Visual Arts, NY, recebeu prêmios como FOCO Bradesco ArtRio, American Austrian Foundation Prize for Fine Arts e Franklin Furnace Performance Award (NY). Foi indicada ao prêmio PIPA e finalista do Prêmio Marcantonio Vilaça (2019). Em 2022, participou da 13ª Bienal do Mercosul e foi premiada com a residência Terremoto Ubisoft, onde dirigiu o projeto Tamagotchi_Balé. Realizou exposições individuais em espaços como Centro Cultural Hélio Oiticica, Caixa Cultural, Centro Cultural São Paulo, Galeria Superfície e Sesc. Dirigiu as séries documentais “Olhar”, sobre artistas contemporâneos brasileiros para o Canal Arte1 e a série musical “Os Ímpares” para o Canal Curta! Em 2023, lançou o curta metragem “Por favor leiam para que eu descanse em paz” na Premiére Brasil do Festival do Rio. Começou sua trajetória no audiovisual em 2006, trabalhando como assistente de direção, tendo colaborado com diretores como Cacá Diegues, Dias & Riedweg, Walter Salles, Daniela Thomas e Jorge Durán. Em 2025, será residente na Delfina Foundation em Londres, onde continuará sua pesquisa sobre a simbiose entre subjetividade humana e algoritmos.

She holds a degree in Cinema from UGF-RJ and a Master's in Visual Arts from the School of Visual Arts, NY, and has received awards such as FOCO Bradesco ArtRio, American Austrian Foundation Prize for Fine Arts, and Franklin Furnace Performance Award (NY). She was nominated for the PIPA award and was a finalist for the Marcantonio Vilaça Award (2019). In 2022, she participated in the 13th Mercosul Biennial and was awarded the Terremoto Ubisoft residency, where she directed the Tamagotchi_Balé project. She has held solo exhibitions at venues such as the Hélio Oiticica Cultural Center, Caixa Cultural, São Paulo Cultural Center, Galeria Superfície, and Sesc. She directed the documentary series Olhar, about contemporary Brazilian artists, for Canal Arte1, and the musical series Os Ímpares for Canal Curta! In 2023, she released the short film Por favor leiam para que eu descanse em paz at the Premiére Brasil do Festival do Rio. He began his career in audiovisual in 2006, working as an assistant director, having collaborated with directors such as Cacá Diegues, Dias & Riedweg, Walter Salles, Daniela Thomas, and Jorge Durán. In 2025, he will be a resident at the Delfina Foundation in London, where he will continue his research on the symbiosis between human subjectivity and algorithms.
