SINOPSE
Kelly, jovem professora de Português, começa a dar aulas em uma escola pública. Em uma aula, ela discute com Nicolas, jovem aluno do segundo ano, e os dois tem de resolver o conflito diante do diretor. A discussão traz ensinamentos: Kelly aprende que na periferia do Brasil, a exceção é a regra; e Nicolas aprende que é preciso reconstruir o presente para ver o futuro.
Kelly, a young Portuguese teacher, begins teaching at a public school. During one class, she gets into an argument with Nicolas, a second-year student, and the two must resolve their conflict in front of the principal. The argument teaches them both a lesson: Kelly learns that in Brazil’s outskirts, the exception is the rule; and Nicolas learns that one must rebuild the present to see the future.

Affonso Uchôa é cineasta. É diretor dos filmes Mulher à tarde (2010), A vizinhança do Tigre (2014), Sete anos em maio (2019) e Disciplina(2026), e também co-diretor do filme Arábia (2017). Seus filmes foram exibidos em diversos festivais pelo mundo, dentre eles os Festivais de Roterdã (Holanda), Viennale (Áustria), Toronto (Canadá), Visions du réel (Suíça), Mostra de Tiradentes (Brasil) e Festival de Mar del Plata (Argentina).
Affonso Uchôa is a filmmaker. He directed the films Mulher à tarde (2010), A vizinhança do Tigre (2014), Sete anos em maio (2019), and Disciplina (2026), and co-directed the film Arábia (2017). His films have been screened at numerous festivals around the world, including Rotterdam Film Festival (Netherlands), Viennale (Austria), Toronto International Film Festival (Canada), Visions du réel (Switzerland), Tiradentes Film Festival (Brazil), and the Mar del Plata International Film Festival (Argentina).
