Rafael Kapelinski é cineasta e roteirista. Seu longa-metragem Butterfly Kisses ganhou o Urso de Cristal no Festival de Berlim (2017). Entre 1993 e 94, trabalhou como coordenador do Festival Internacional de Arte de Cinematografia Camerimage. Seu projeto de longa-metragem “Up On The Roof” ganhou o prêmio da Residência da Cinefondation do Festival de Cannes. Outros trabalhos como diretor de longas-metragens incluem A Woman At Night (Melhor Longa-Metragem Internacional no Festival de Cinema Diorama em 2022). Atua como professor de direção na London Film School, em Londres, no American Film Institute, em Los Angeles, e na Escola de Cinema Krzysztof Kieslowski, em Katowice. Ele coordena o currículo de direção cinematográfica na Academia Nacional de Cinema para Jovens, no Reino Unido.
