Emi Castañeda é diretora e editora que estudou em universidades públicas em Buenos Aires e no País Basco, bem como no Programa de Cinema da Universidade Torcuato Di Tella. Ela complementou sua formação com oficinas de roteiro, dramaturgia, biodrama, atuação e estrutura dramática com Gustavo Fontán, Vivi Tellas e Federico León, entre outros. Além de seu trabalho no cinema, ela desenvolve projetos nas artes visuais. Sua obra Syntocinon recebeu menção no Prêmio Itaú de Artes Visuais 2022–2023 e foi exibida no Museu Caraffa e no Centro Cultural Haroldo Conti. Ela é cofundadora da Associação Argentina de Editores Audiovisuais (EDA), onde promove a profissionalização da edição e a construção de uma comunidade dentro do setor.

In addition to her film work, she develops projects in the visual arts. Her work Syntocinon received fourth mention in the 2022–2023 Itaú Visual Arts Award and was exhibited at the Caraffa Museum and the Haroldo Conti Cultural Center. She is co-founder of the Argentine Association of Audiovisual Editors (EDA), where she promotes the professionalization of editing and community building within the sector.
