Wang Di é um diretor de cinema independente. Como artista interdisciplinar, Wang Di se dedica ao cinema experimental, à escrita, à pintura, à música e à fotografia. Ele já expôs e deu palestras para artistas em várias organizações independentes ou oficiais, universidades e seus museus. Em 2021, seu longa-metragem de estreia, “A Ilha do Navio”, ganhou o prêmio de “Melhor Diretor” no 5º Festival Internacional de Cinema de Pingyao do Work-in-Progress Lab (WIP) e foi selecionado para o 20º projeto de produção do WIP do Hong Kong-Asia Film Financing Forum (HAF) no âmbito do programa “HAF GOES TO CANNES”. Em 2024, foi selecionado para a seção Asian Future Competition do 37º Tokyo International Film Festival.

Wang Di is an independent film director. As an interdisciplinary artist, Wang Di is dedicated to experimental film, writing, painting, music, and photography. He has exhibited and lectured for artists at various independent and official organizations, universities, and their museums. In 2021, his debut feature film, “The Vessel's Isle,” won the “Best Director” award at the 5th Pingyao International Film Festival's Work-in-Progress Lab (WIP) and was selected for the 20th WIP production project of the Hong Kong-Asia Film Financing Forum (HAF) under the “HAF GOES TO CANNES” program. In 2024, it was selected for the Asian Future Competition section of the 37th Tokyo International Film Festival.
