Nascida em Rabat, Layla Triqui é diretora e produtora. Obteve um diploma em cenografia e desde 2001, dirigiu e produziu dramas e documentários para a televisão, vários dos quais ganharam prêmios no Festival do Cairo, além de seis curtas-metragens, incluindo Chapelet (prêmio em Veneza 2002) Sang d'encre (Prêmio da Crítica no Festival Nacional de Tânger 2005 e em Cannes 2005) e Coule la rivière (Cannes, 2006). Leciona há 8 anos no Institut Supérieur d'Art Dramatique et d'Animation culturelle e no Acting Institute desde 2018, paralelamente a seus projetos audiovisuais e cinematográficos. Seu primeiro longa-metragem Esculpida Pelo Vento foi finalizado em 2024.

Born in Rabat, Layla Triqui is a director and producer. She holds a degree in set design and, since 2001, has directed and produced dramas and documentaries for television, several of which have won awards at the Cairo Film Festival, as well as six short films, including Chapelet (award at Venice 2002), Sang d'encre (Critics' Award at the Tangier National Festival 2005 and at Cannes 2005), and Coule la rivière (Cannes, 2006). He has been teaching for eight years at the Institut Supérieur d'Art Dramatique et d'Animation culturelle and at the Acting Institute since 2018, alongside his audiovisual and film projects. His first feature film, Carved by the Wind, was completed in 2024.
