ULYSSES
Um filho e sua mãe imigrante em Madri esperam pelo retorno do pai. Uma mulher basca e um japonês se encontram em San Sebastian e ele compartilha suas histórias sobre o lar. Um japonês à deriva retorna à sua família para o Obon, para receber os espíritos dos falecidos. Essas histórias fragmentadas da vida cotidiana de cada um em diferentes lugares do mundo implicam a reminiscência do lar.

A son and his immigrant mother in Madrid wait for his father to return. A Basque woman and a Japanese man meet in San Sebastian and he shares his stories about home. A drifting Japanese man returns to his family for Obon to welcome the spirits of the deceased. These fragmental stories of each daily life in different places of the world imply their reminiscence of home.

HIKARU UWAGAWA
Hikaru Uwagawa é um cineasta japonês que atualmente mora em Tóquio. Em 2021, participou do curso de produção de filmes na Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, uma escola de cinema em San Sebastián, na Espanha, onde concluiu um programa de mestrado de 15 meses. Em 2023, foi selecionado como membro residente do programa de residência para cineastas do Festival Internacional de Cinema de San Sebastián, Ikusmira Berriak. Seu longa-metragem Ulysses estreou no Fid Marseille, no Festival Internacional de Cinema de San Sebastian, no Tokyo Filmex e no Festival Internacional de Cinema de Jeonju.

Hikaru Uwagawa is a Japanese filmmaker currently based in Tokyo. In 2021, he participated in the Filmmaking course at Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, a film school in San Sebastián, Spain, where he completed a 15-month master 's program. In 2023, he was selected as a member in residence for the San Sebastian International Film Festival 's filmmaker grant residency program, Ikusmira Berriak. His feature film Ulysses premiered at Fid Marseille, San Sebastian International Film Festival,Tokyo Filmex and Jeonju International Film Festival.
